Here’s what the Silver Spoke project will mean for residents, businesses and communities in Osage County:
200-300 jobs during construction as well as 5-8 permanent local jobs once operational. Invenergy will support training opportunities to hire local workers.
Invenergy will use local contractors and suppliers as much as possible during construction, and local merchants will see increased economic activity from the project.
Schools and Community Services
Invenergy will pay $18 million in ad valorem taxes over the life of the project that will benefit Shidler Public Schools and Osage County services.
Approximately $44 million will be paid to landowners through voluntary agreements, helping keep farms in families for future generations. More than 98% of land in the project area will remain in agricultural use.
